Celebrating Multiculturalism:

The Global Resource Lounge is a dedicated space for Lafayette College’s international communities.

Purpose

The Global Resource Lounge seeks to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for international students, faculty, and staff; promote global engagement and intercultural communication within the Lafayette community; and provide academic support to the needs of international students.

Study/Break

The Global Resource Lounge is a great place to study, chat with friends, enjoy free drinks and snacks, catch up on your favorite TV shows, read a book for fun, or scroll through your phone when you need a break.

Access

The Global Resource Lounge is located in Jenks Hall, Room 100. It is open to all members of the community from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., except during special events listed below.

  • EAP Mentor Lounge Hours: Fall 2025: Every Thursday from 4 -6 pm. Click here to read more about the EAP Mentor Program.
    • The first hour (4-5 pm) is a relaxed space where you can study, work on papers, practice presentations, learn new English expressions, or simply hang out with friends.
    • The second hour (5-6 pm) is an open conversation on global issues and current events, where both students, faculty, and staff are invited to share ideas and perspectives. Come join us, bring your curiosity, and enjoy learning from one another in a friendly and supportive space!

The space is also bookable! You can book the space for a variety of reasons. Here are some examples:

  • Affiliated student organizations hosting an event
  • Offices at Lafayette for programs that specifically support the international community or international engagement
  • Students themselves (movie nights, birthday parties, anything that centers home and joy for international communities!)
  • International faculty members hosting classes or events that promote global learning
