In the Spring 2026 semester, the Global Resource Lounge Symposium will be held on Thursday, February 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of Lafayette College’s Bicentennial Celebration.
This event showcases the richness of our international community and global engagement through student poster presentations, artworks, and multimedia displays. Faculty and staff are also invited to display and highlight their global involvement.
The poster/project display will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the individual presentations will take place from 12:20 to 1:00 p.m.
A selection of faculty and administrators will nominate student work they find particularly powerful. There will be awards for the faculty/administrator-nominated student projects, as well as a student-choice selection during the event. There will be two $100 cash prizes.
To assist the judges, please submit a short introduction video about your project. Faculty and administrator judges will use these videos to help select the winning entries.
The selected works will be displayed in the Global Resource Lounge (Jenks Hall 100) for future visitors to view and enjoy.
Application deadline: Friday, December 12, 2025
Final project and introduction video due: Tuesday, February 10, 2026 (Detailed submission instructions will be emailed to you after you submit this form.)
The event will also feature a collaborative translation project of “Cur Non” into multiple languages and international food. We hope you will join us in this celebration of Lafayette’s global community.
