Being a first-gen to me means lots of research, asking questions, and constantly adapting. Being first-gen means a great number of new experiences which can be exciting, inspiring, and sometimes overwhelming.
Being a first-gen mentor provides a great opportunity to pass on what I have learned during my time at Lafayette and also to provide the support that I received from different parts of the Lafayette community. I am always excited to meet new members of the Lafayette community and see their excitement at the beginning of the journey and their growth later on.
