What does being a first-gen student mean to you? 

Being a first generation student is a very big deal for me. Being the first in your family to attend Lafayette can be scary, but it is such an amazing experience. 

Why are you excited to be a first-gen mentor? 

Since I do not have any close relatives that have gone to Lafayette, I was very nervous to start school here. I was fearful of my lack of knowledge of the campus and all it has to offer. I am excited to be a first-gen mentor because I hope to ease this uncertainty for other first generation students. It is very helpful to have someone that can guide you when it comes to everything our school has to offer. I am really looking forward to helping other first generation students!
