What does being a first-gen student mean to you? 

To me, being a first-gen student means rather than asking your parents you have to figure things out with other first-gen students. This builds an important sense of community and the community brings vast knowledge from all sorts of experiences.

Why are you excited to be a first-gen mentor? 

I am excited to be a first-gen mentor because I will be able to offer my knowledge and experience to help other first-gen students navigate college.
