Joining WAR’s board wasn’t comfortable—it was necessary; I confronted painful truths about gender-based violence, compelled by a belief that justice requires courage, not silence.
Arriving at Lafayette, “why not?” gained momentum. A semester in London inspired Kumo—because why not introduce Karachi to the soft wonder of Japanese soufflé pancakes? Frequent dinners booked on OpenTable at Aman’s downtown made me ask—why not digitize Pakistan’s dining experience through Spots? And as I built Voltage Fitness, introducing performance-focused apparel first in Karachi and then Lafayette, I realized I was driven not by success itself, but by the profound belief that barriers should never hold dreams hostage.
At Lafayette, I learned leadership isn’t measured in titles but in the quiet spaces—the earnest dialogue as RA late at night, the whispered prayers during MSA iftars, or carefully crafted stories in Global Expressions.
Each chapter of my journey was sparked by one simple yet endlessly powerful question—”Why not?” Lafayette didn’t merely answer; it gave me the courage to keep asking |
