Nominate an advisor for the 2021 “Academic Advisor of the Year” Award

The Office of Advising and Co-Curricular Programs is excited to announce the 2nd annual “Academic Advisor of the Year” Award. Complete the form at the link below to nominate your favorite advisor as Academic Advisor of the Year!

One nomination can be accepted per student. Nominations will be accepted until April 16th, 2021.  The Award Committee from the Office of Advising will review the nominations, and the award will be announced later in the spring 2021 semester.

The committee will consider the following criteria in the selection of the Advisor of the Year:

• Upholds the core values of Caring, Commitment, Empowerment, Inclusivity, Integrity, Professionalism, and Respect, as supported by NACADA, The Global Community for Academic Advising.
• Supports student development by helping advisees define, plan, and achieve their educational goals, and has had a transformative impact on the educational journey of the advisee.
• Provides helpful and accurate information regarding college academic requirements and policies.
• Makes appropriate referrals as needed.
